Bad Oysters is an original independent rock band from Mulubinba (Newcastle), Australia, comprising variously queer and neurodivergent members. 

 

Coalescing in 2023 around the gleaming pearl that is the songwriting powerhouse of singer, saxophonist and flautist, Brooke Murphy, and guitarist, Lily Clements, Bad Oysters’ unique blend of garage, psychedelic and pop rock is hammered home to its burgeoning fan-base by a well-seasoned rhythm section of bassist, Jerry, and drummer, Will Kilner.

 

With a firm hand on the twisting knife, Bad Oysters shucks the zeitgeist, exposing for all its sweet meaty recesses. From depilation to desire, landlords to Luddites, stimulants to schnitzels, Bad Oysters leaves no stone unturned in speaking truth to power and joyously sticking it to the man.

 

A most ambiguous aphrodisiac, Bad Oysters’ briny goodness will rock you in your socks and leave you panting for more. But don’t put them in your mouth. Put them in your ears!
